Jenni Weaver, one of our superstar hygienists shares what we recommend for your best ongoing oral care:
“To keep your mouth healthy between check-ups, we recommend creating a daily routine of brushing and flossing. You should brush your teeth at least twice a day. Good effective brushing should take at least two minutes. Time yourself and you might be surprised. The average adult brushing time is 20-30 seconds! Flossing should be done daily. The biggest excuse that I hear for not flossing is time. It takes practice, but once you get the technique down, it only takes a minute or two. Mouth rinses are good to use too because they have anti-microbial effects. Some contain fluoride as well. The more time that you spend with your home care, the less time that you will spend in the dental chair!”
